Jordan Kuwait Bank participated in nationwide Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign, called Pink October, to help underprivileged females get early screening for this disease. During October 2022, the Bank hosted an awareness day at the Bank’s premises, which had a booth for King Hussein Cancer Center’s products, as well as a healthy bake sale, to encourage them follow healthy habits. Noting that all proceeds go to KHCC to support underprivileged females.
This is line with the Bank’s goals to support local communities, raise awareness of the importance of conducting early screening, and to complement previous campaign in providing support to cancer patients.
This campaign is considered one of the most important health-related campaigns on a national and regional level. Where it reaches all segments of the Jordanian society and in all the governorates throughout the Kingdom. As part of this campaign, educational lectures are held, awareness booths are placed in shopping malls, in addition to extensive media coverage and advertising campaigns on all social media platforms, radio and television channels, outdoor billboards and printed publications. The nationwide campaign also includes collaborating with medical centers and clinics to provide free examinations for underprivileged women and offer mammograms at reduced prices throughout the month of October
