Jordan Kuwait Bank has obtained, for the first time, the international accreditation certificate ISO/IEC 27001:2013, which relates to the implementation of all requirements of the standard issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The scope of the certificate includes all processes and procedures related to information security, information technology for banking systems, digital services, data centers, and support units.

In a ceremony held at the bank's headquarters, attended by Haethum Buttikhi, CEO of Jordan Kuwait Bank, the accreditation certificate was presented by Mohammed Hamad, the Regional Director of ControlCase, a global company that provided consulting services to the bank to obtain the accreditation. Representatives from the bank's departments, which contributed to obtaining the certificate, also attended the ceremony.

Haethum Buttikhi commended this achievement, which is the result of the concerted efforts of risk and information security management with the relevant departments. This achievement aligns with the bank's strategy aimed at improving customer experience through the latest digital services and providing the highest levels of protection for customer transactions and data. He also emphasized that technology risk management is one of the top priorities for the board of directors and executive management, especially considering the rapid digital transformation in services and operations.

Mohammed Hamad commented that the certificate confirms the bank's adherence to the highest standards of information security management, technical controls, and procedures that enhance cyber security according to the best international practices for advanced digital services provided by the bank.

It is worth noting that the bank obtained the certificate after being audited for its compliance with the standard requirements by IRQS, an international company licensed to issue accreditation (Certification Body). The ISO/IEC 27001 international standard is considered one of the best standards that ensure efficient information security management, compliance with security controls that enhance protection, and information and technology risk management.
