A team of volunteers from Jordan Kuwait Bank planted 650 fruit-bearing trees in the Jerash governorate for the third time, focusing on the Souf area. This effort is part of the Green Caravan initiative, launched by the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature (APN). The initiative plays an important role in the bank's social responsibility, aligning with its sustainable development goals, which include addressing environmental issues, combating desertification, ensuring food security, promoting community awareness of agriculture, volunteering, and establishing a source of income for farmers.
In addition to the employee volunteers, 100 students from Marj Al-Hamam Guidance Group, an affiliate of the Jordanian Association of Boy Scouts and Girl Guides chaired by HRH Princess Basma bint Talal, actively participated in the initiative. Volunteers reaffirmed their commitment to promoting environmental awareness and sustainability in the local community. Participants enjoyed the positive atmosphere, pleasant setting, and a hearty breakfast catered by women from the local community. The women-led productive project was launched to serve the community while generating additional income for their families, contributing to improving their livelihoods.
This initiative is in line with the bank's ongoing vision to instill a culture of volunteerism among its employees, encouraging them to actively contribute to serving the community.
